St. Peter’s Parish, 85 South Maple Street in Vergennes is hosting family-friendly bingo to raise money for historical preservation of the church. Doors open at 5pm and the games begin at 6pm.

VFW Post 6689, 73 Pearl Street in Essex Junction is hosting a breakfast from 8:30am to 11am. The public is invited.
Saturday, January 25th
Vermont Fish and Wildlife is holding its annual Free Ice Fishing Day throughout the state to include an Ice Fishing Festival from 11am to 3pm at Silver Lake State Park in Barnard. Learn more about the state’s “Let’s Go Fishing” program at the Vermont Fish and Wildlife website.
VFW Post 7823, 530 Exchange Street in Middlebury is having a Crafters’ Market from 9am to 12:30pm. It is hosted by The Middlebury Farmers Market. There will also be raffles and live music by Matt Dickerson.

Tax Season 2025
The Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is currently recruiting volunteers for the upcoming filing season in South Burlington and Middlebury to aid seniors, those of low and moderate-income individuals and those with limited English proficiency. Ongoing: The American Red Cross is always looking for blood donations—accepting donors at the Blood Donation Center at 32 North Prospect Street in Burlington 365 days a year, and conducting Blood Drives on both sides of Lake Champlain throughout the year.
