Judas Priest recently released a new single, “Crown Of Horns,” from their upcoming album Invincible Shield.
“Crown Of Horns” is the third single from their highly anticipated new studio album Invincible Shield, which is set for release on March 8th. The band previously released two singles from the album, “Panic Attack” and “Trial By Fire”.
The band will embark on its Invincible Shield Tour with special guest Sabaton later this year. The tour kicks off on April 18th at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut, making stops in Reading, Boston, Rosemont, Washington, and more before wrapping up in Syracuse at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview on May 22nd.
“The components of that song, they’re not that unusual. But it’s the way you put the arrangements together,” vocalist Rob Halford shared in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock. “We’ve never been a formula band, but when we move into a texture that we’re kind of comfortable with — or it’s an experience that we’re just kind of re-imagining — then you expect to find something extra within that constructive idea, to give it a fresh look and feel.”
Judas Priest had announced their long-awaited 19th studio album Invincible Shield during a live performance at the Power Trip festival. The band filled in for former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who was scheduled to headline at the festival but withdrew due to ongoing health issues.
The album will be the band’s first in six years, a follow-up to 2018’s Firepower.
