TidalWave Comics has announced the addition of the English rock band Black Sabbath to its popular “Orbit” comic book series focused on personalities who impact the world. “Orbit: Black Sabbath” will be released on August 23.

Written by “Robots vs. Princesses” creator Todd Matthy and illustrated by Martin Gimenez, the 22-page comic book is available both digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms such as Amazon. It will also be released in paperback and hard cover the same day with a special cover by famed artist Noumier Tawilah.

In the book, TidalWave Productions delves into the blazing origins of Black Sabbath. Through the band’s own words and stunning interpretations, their remarkable journey is chronicled, forever altering the course of music.

“Working on the Black Sabbath cover was a lot of fun. I’ve been a huge fan of both Sabbath and Ozzy’s solo music since I was a teenager,” said Tawilah. “For the cover artwork, I tried to create a collage of the band’s performance scene inspired by the ‘Paranoid’ video clip and added a pig as a homage to the song ‘War Pigs.’ The color palette was inspired by psychedelic concert posters from the late 60s and early 70s.”
