The reunited Blink-182 will make their debut on the first night of this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on Friday, April 14.
The festival organizers revealed the last-minute addition on Instagram on Thursday, April 13, with the caption “Take off your pants and jacket,” which is a reference to the title of Blink’s 2001 fourth album of the same name.
Meanwhile, Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and Blackpink are set to headline this year’s festival. And for the first time ever, Coachella is set to livestream performances from all of its stages across both of its 2023 weekends.
The first weekend of of Coachella runs from Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16. The festival will return for April 21-23.
Rosalía, Björk, Gorillaz, Burna Boy, and more are among the several dozen artists appearing at Coachella this year.
Last September, Blink-182 announced that founding member Tom DeLonge was rejoining Mark Hoppus and Travis Baker to reform the original trio after eight years apart.
The band are set to kick off their reunion tour on May 4 in St. Paul. The tour was initially set to kick off on March 11 in Tijuana, Mexico, but was delayed due to an injury to Barker’s hand.
The trek runs through July 16, when the band wraps the North American leg in Nashville. The European leg will begin in September, ahead of an Australian leg beginning in February 2024.
