Garbage have had to cancel all their remaining tour dates through 2024 due to an unspecified injury sustained by singer Shirley Manson. The nature of the injury was not disclosed, but the band shared that it is serious enough to “require surgery and rehabilitation to correct.” Garbage shared the sad news in an Instagram post on Thursday (August 1), writing: “It is with great and sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of all our remaining dates for the rest of the year due to an injury that Shirley sustained on our recent tour in Europe that will require surgery and rehabilitation to correct.” In a caption for the post, Manson wrote, “No one is more crushed about this than I am. You know I would push through if I could.”  DEVO has been chosen to replace Garbage at the upcoming Ohana Fest, while Liz Phair is filling their slot at HFStival. (Consequence of Sound)
