A reunited Heart played their first concert in over four years on Wednesday night, December 27, at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California.
According to Setlist.fm, Heart, the rock group fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, kicked off their 14-song set with the title track of the band’s 1980 album Bebe Le Strange and wrapped up the show with a cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “Stairway To Heaven”.
Prior to this, Heart’s last concert took place in October 2019 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Heart are set to join Def Leppard and Journey as support for their 2024 co-headlining North American stadium tour. Heart will open select dates on the trek, including July 30th in Cleveland, August 2nd in Toronto, and August 5th at Boston.
“We’re gonna see how it works with the Heart thing, whether it feels like a level up,” said Ann Wilson on the reunion shows in a recent interview with 96.1 KLPX out of Tucson, Arizona. “If it does feel like a level up, then we’ll keep doing it. But that’s what it has to be. It can’t just slide down into jukebox time.”
“It’s gotta be real. No going through the motions. No phoning it in. No just getting on some kind of circuit just to take people’s money and play the old songs again and again and again,” she added. “No, we’re gonna make it cool, really make it cool.”
