Jack White had an extremely busy and productive weekend. On Saturday night, the rock superstar played an intimate benefit show at an American Legion in Nashville, raising funds so that the venue could acquire a new soundsystem. At that show, White announced that he had official copies available of his surprise new album that was previously given away at Third Man Records shops earlier this month. “I got something special for you at that merch table on your way out,” White announced from the stage. Those official copies of White’s new No Name album featured actual cover art and a tracklisting for the 13-song record.

On Sunday, White was a surprise special guest of his old friend Conan O’Brien during the comedian’s set at Newport Folk Festival. The pair dueted on the White Stripes 2002 classic, “We’re Going To Be Friends,” and also played Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock” together. (Stereogum)
