In an interview with Rock Candy, guitarist Joe Perry reveals that there is a possibility that Aerosmith will record new music at some point. This news comes as Aerosmith is relaunching their Peace Out farewell tour, which they postponed in 2023 after only three shows due to Steven Tyler’s damaged vocal cords. “Right now I’m writing stuff for the new [Hollywood] Vampires record, but that’s a whole other thing,” Perry said. “As for Aerosmith, I don’t know. We’ll see. There’s definitely a possibility, but at the minute we’re looking at the set for the tour and the songs we can play.”

Aerosmith hasn’t released a new studio album since 2012’s Music From Another Dimension!, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Perry shared that Tyler has some new songs, but the band is focusing on their upcoming tour. “As far as new music is concerned, I know that Steven’s got some stuff in his back pocket, but I really think the main thing right now is getting back on the road and playing,” Perry said.
