Mick Mars has revealed details of his solo album, which will be titled Another Side of Mars.
One song from the record will seemingly be about his former Motley Crue bandmates.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, he said, “This is a song I wrote called ‘Killing Breed.’ It’s about narcissists that keep you pinned down and make you feel crazy.”
The guitarist recently launched a lawsuit against Motley Crue, claiming that they tried to oust him from the band to deny him payments he’d be due as a remaining member of the band’s companies. However, they have refuted those allegations.
Although he didn’t specifically cite Motley Crue as the inspiration behind the song, the report claims that he had to fight hard to mask a “sly smile” when the reporter began to ask about the song’s origin.
Mars also revealed that he is done touring.
“I’m done touring,” he said elsewhere in the interview. “If somebody really, really wants a one-off or a couple of nights, I would probably do it. But all that travel stuff and planes . I’m way over it.”
