Paramore have pulled out of the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO Festival and will be replaced by Fall Out Boy.
Paramore announced the news on their Instagram Stories, saying, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13.”
Frontwoman Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro offered apologies for any inconvenience caused by their withdrawal.
The trio was scheduled to appear for a headline performance at the festival to be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Los Angeles.
The cancellation and the wiping of their social media accounts last month have led to speculation among fans if the rock band is breaking up.
Paramore deleted all posts and images from their X, Facebook, Spotify and Instagram profiles. Their official website shows a “404 error” message.
Fall Out Boy have been added to the lineup for the festival, to be hosted by Woody of iHeartRadio ALT 98.7‘s nationally syndicated “The Woody Show.”
The band said they are thrilled to join the 2024 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO lineup and celebrate their most recent album So Much (For) Stardust.
“We are looking forward to closing out an incredible night of music in advance of our upcoming ‘So Much For (2our)Dust’ US concert run,” they said.
