Scott Weiland’s Son Noah Denies Being A ‘Trust Fund Baby’

Scott Weiland‘s son Noah Weiland has denied in a new interview that he is a “trust fund baby.”

“I’m not a trust fund baby or anything like that,” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Noah revealed in the interview that the former frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver died at the age of 48 leaving behind a big amount of debt.

“I always get annoyed when people say that type of stuff. My dad was millions in debt when he died. My mom has always worked a normal job,” he said. “And truthfully, even if my dad’s estate ever does get out of debt, I don’t even want that money. I want to make a career out of myself as much as possible.”

The 23-year-old son of the late rock star said he had struggled with addiction, like his father. Noah said he has learned to live without the opioids and to forgive his late father.

“It made me finally understand his situation. It made me realize it wasn’t his fault,” Weiland said. “He was just in too deep. He had too many demons. They caught up to him. It actually made me forgive him.”

Weiland’s career was plagued by substance abuse issues; on December 3, 2015, he was found dead of an accidental drug overdose on his tour bus in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Noah, whose career started in 2020 as a member of the next-generation-rock supergroup Suspect208, said his goal now is to become financially stable with music.
