Ozzy Osbourne‘s wife and manager Sharon Osbourne says the heavy metal singer is planning to play two final shows to “say goodbye properly” to his fans before he quits touring.
The Prince Of Darkness, 75, announced last year that he is calling it a day from touring. He had been struggling with health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and a recovery from surgeries.
Ozzy had scrapped his scheduled European and U.K. tour dates and headline set at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California.
But while speaking during her Cut The Crap show at London’s Fortune Theatre on Sunday, Sharon said the former Black Sabbath frontman is planning to perform two concerts in his hometown of Birmingham, U.K.
“He won’t tour again, but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like, ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans, and I want to say goodbye properly,’” Sharon said about the future plans of her husband.’”
She added, “His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons. Even if you don’t like his music, you can’t not like Ozzy.”
She said Ozzy will stage his final performance in Aston Villa, where he grew up.
