Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley opens up about his life in music in his revealing new memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell. Whibley’s book, which came out on Tuesday (October 8), also makes some shocking allegations of sexual abuse against the band’s former manager, Greig Nori. Whibley was only 16 when he first met the then-34-year-old Nori, the frontman of the Canadian band Treble Charger, and over the years he sexually and verbally abused Whibley while he was a mentor to the young punk rock star and eventually Sum 41’s manager. Whibley claims that Nori “groomed” him, and “pressured” him into a physical relationship, while growing abusive when Deryck tried to end things with him. “He told me this was all my fault to begin with because I should never have said yes to it in the first place. I started this and now he was in it with me so I couldn’t just stop,” Whibley writes. (People)
