Sum 41‘s Deryck Whibley has revealed details about the band’s upcoming final album, Heaven :x: Hell, suggesting that it will drop in Spring 2024.

“There’s no release date for it yet,” Whibley said during an interview with Texas radio station 94.5 The Buzz, according to Blabbermouth. “I have a feeling it’ll probably be early next year, kind of like spring. That’s what I think. All that stuff’s being worked out right now.”

He added that the release will be like two different records combined into one – with the ‘Heaven’ side sounding like their pop-punk early days, while the ‘Hell’ side sounds like their more recent discography.

The band had announced Heaven :x: Hell on March 23, 2022. The record is set to be a double album and their first full-length album since 2019’s Order in Decline. The first single from the album, titled “Landmines,” was released on September 27, 2023, along with a music video.

On May 8, 2023, the band announced it would be disbanding following the release of Heaven :x: Hell and a worldwide headlining tour. Their final live show will be held in Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France, on November 23, 2024.
