System of A Down frontman Serj Tankian has teamed up with composer Bear McCreary on “Incinerator,” a track from the latter’s upcoming album, The Singularity, which is due out on May 10th.
“When I got the music, when I got this song specifically, I was blown away. It’s explosive,” Tankian said about the song.
The explosive song, which arrived on March 22nd, starts with a guitar riff, and sees Tankian hogging the spotlight with his vocals.
“Once I heard Serj’s searing vocals, I knew immediately that ‘Incinerator’ would be the first song on the album, acting like a warning that a massive, aggressive, and emotional journey lay ahead,” McCreary said.
McCreary previously released “Type III” from the forthcoming album, which also features contributions from Slash, Corey Taylor, Jens Kidman, Joe Satriani, Buck Dharma, Kim Thayil, Scott Ian, Brendon Small, and more.
McCreary and Tankian previously collaborated on the soundtrack for the 2019 kaiju film Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
